Electronic waste is one of the fastest-growing waste streams in the world, yet many people remain unaware of the environmental impact of the devices and electronic items they use every day.
The OSCAR project is addressing this challenge by combining education, digital innovation, and Augmented Reality (AR) to help learners better understand the lifecycle of electronic products, the consequences of e-waste, and the importance of responsible consumption and recycling.
We are pleased to announce an important milestone in the project’s journey. The OSCAR educational materials and AR-based learning resources have now been developed and reviewed by the project partnership, while the OSCAR digital platform has been successfully created and is preparing to enter the testing phase.
The upcoming pilot activities will help ensure that the platform provides an engaging and effective learning experience for young people across Europe.
Stay tuned for further updates as OSCAR moves one step closer to providing innovative tools for e-waste awareness and environmental education.
