OSCAR Youth Competition

Propose Concepts for E-Waste Management and Win a Trip to Lovely Estonia!

Are you between 15 and 25 years old and ready to inspire your peers to rethink e-waste?
Design a poster or leaflet or video of a solution concept to show how young people can make a real difference to manage e-Waste.

TThis competition, organised by the Erasmus+ OSCAR project,
is open to Youths From France, Greece, Malta, Estonia and Spain.
There will be 5 national winners – one from each partner country.

What is the OSCAR Youth Competition? –

The OSCAR Youth Competition invites young people aged 15–25 from all partner countries (France, Greece, Malta, Estonia and Spain) to create original ideas that motivate their peers to dispose of e-waste responsibly

Your mission:

Create a poster, leaflet, short or video clip, together with a 1-page A4 description in English explaining:

  • What your solution idea is
  • How it will motivate others to care about e-waste
  • How it can influence the behaviour of youths towards managing e-waste

All participants will be given a ‘Certificate of Participation‘ and the best entries will be showcased across Europe through the OSCAR projec

Who can participate?

  • Young people aged 15–25
  • Residents of OSCAR partner countries
    (France, Greece, Malta, Estonia and Spain)
  • Applicants must have a residence/working permit valid for a minimum of 1 year on their return to the partner country.
  • Only individual submissions are allowed
  • Participants must be able to communicate in English

What to Submit

Participants must submit two items via the Form:

Creative Work (in English):

Create one digital product to raise awareness about e-waste by choosing one of the following formats:

  • 🎨 Poster – a clear and creative visual message about e-waste
  • 📄 Leaflet – informative and persuasive content encouraging responsible action
  • 🎬 Short video clip – a creative video (up to 2 minutes) motivating peers to act

Description (in English)

Participants must submit one A4 one-page document in English explaining:

  • the idea and the e-waste problem it addresses
  • how the idea motivates other young people to take action
  • why they want to participate in the competition
  • what they hope to learn or achieve, including why they would like to attend the Final Conference

5 Prizes & Opportunities

A total of 5 prizes are available – one winner per partner country (France, Malta, Greece, Spain, Estonia).

  • ✈️ A fully funded return trip to the OSCAR Final Conference in Estonia
  • 🎤 The opportunity to network with other european youths and present your idea
  • 🌍 Visibility on OSCAR communication channels and materials

The host country participant (Estonia) will also send its national winner to a project event in another partner country.

OSCAR Youth Competition Grand Winner

At the Final Conference in  Estonia, all national winners will present their ideas.
A jury with representatives from each partner country, will select the Overall Winner from the 5 competing entries, who will receive:

  • 🏅 An Award Certificate
  • 💳 A €100 Gift Voucher!

  • Relevance to e-waste issues
  • Potential to motivate behaviour change
  • Creativity & originality
  • Clarity and strength of the message
  • Quality of design or production

  • Deadline for submissions: 28 February 2026
  • Evaluation period: March 2026
  • Announcement of national winners: April 2026
  • OSCAR Final Conference: 24 November 2026

How to Apply

  • Step 1 – Choose your creative format
    Create ONE creative work in English to raise awareness about e-waste by choosing one of the following formats:

    • Poster – a clear and creative visual message about e-waste
    • Leaflet – informative and persuasive content encouraging responsible action
    • Short video clip – a creative video (up to 2 minutes) motivating peers to act
  • Step 2 – Prepare your description (in English)
    Submit one A4 one-page document in English explaining:

    • the idea and the e-waste problem it addresses
    • how it motivates other young people to take action
    • why you want to participate
    • what you hope to learn or achieve, including why you would like to attend the Final Conference
  • Step 3 – Submit by the deadline
    Upload your Creative Work and A4 Description (both in English) via the online submission form by 28 February 2026.

  • Step 4 – Results
    All submissions will be reviewed at national level by the OSCAR team.
